A river flows into the sea where in ancient times fishermen set out to fish Dingle Bay. Here, Bun an tSruthain (Irish for " the end of the river"), is exquisitely located, commanding changing and superb views.
Furnished with a blend of modern and antique, the reception rooms have antique fireplaces, wood and slate floors. There is direct access to a private terrace, garden and boat dock. The clever layout of the house, with two interconnecting wings, ensures maximum privacy and independence for guests. The charming town of Dingle, noted for its fine restaurants and interesting pubs and shops is 1.6 km (one mile) from the house.

The Dingle Peninsula has been inhabited for almost 6000 years and each wave of settlers has left its mark. This is one of the richest areas in archaeological remains on the west coast of Europe, with almost 2,000 sites. Here are the largest collections in the world of clochns or beehive huts, of the stones with the unique ogham writing and of ring forts. These remains, including the Oratory at Gallarus show evidence of skilled craftsmanship. With the exception of Gallarus all are hidden from view and access can be difficult.
