Name of property
Connemara cottage - Ceannabhan
This is a newly refurbished family home in a stunning location overlooking Mannin Bay.
Situated in the town land of Derrigimlagh on the main Clifden to Ballyconnelly Road, this luxury family home is finished to the highest standard with all modern conveniences and is tastefully furnished throughout.
The property has double glazed windows and is oak floored; it is centrally heated with oil-fired radiators and under floor heating in the tiled kitchen area. These features make it a wonderful cosy winter haven, and in summer, double doors open onto the entrance patio. Surrounded by a landscaped garden of flowers and shrubs, the house overlooks the Atlantic Ocean to the front and eastwards and, to the rear, the “twelve bens” mountains.
The cottage was restored, under the supervision of an architect, to capture light from every carefully designed window and enhance the space and comfort all year round. The pebble driveway provides parking for several cars.

Ceannabhan is located midway between Clifden and Connemara / Ballyconnelly Golf Club (7 minutes from both). Locally, there are several coral strands and Horse riding is available in Errislannin, Ballyconnelly and Cleggan. Derrigimlagh is renowned for the landing of Alcock & Brown following their first ever non-stop transatlantic flight. The area is also the location of the first Marconi Telegraph Station.

Amenities in the area
Amenities and activities in the area:
The town of Clifden is the busy capital of Connemara. Its shops and amenities include pharmacies, supermarkets, clothes shops and newsagents, bookstores and antique dealers, fish mongers, butchers, bakers and designer label boutiques.
