This newly built Georgian-style country house is set on four acres of grounds, with panoramic views of the Galtee Mountains. The house is stylish and sophisticated, yet informal and relaxing. Its’ six bedrooms are individually decorated in a classical style.
This is is truly a special place to stay.
The owners have created a sensitive blend of classic and modern in a home that is welcoming and gracious.
The large front hall is at the centre of the reception rooms. The drawing room is to the right, leading to the Library. The dining room is to the left of the front hall and leads to the fully equipped commercial kitchen and utility area. The front hall
leads to the inner hall with stairs.
The Drawing Room is the main room of
the house. It is furnished in a country house style. The white marble fireplace
is the centrepiece of the room and a large Waterford Crystal chandelier enhances the setting. Patio doors open from the drawing room to the large garden. Beyond the drawing room there is very cosy library;
an ideal place in which to read one of
the books from the well stocked shelves
or enjoy an after-dinner drink. The Dining Room has a Kilkenny Marble fireplace, a Waterford Crystal chandelier and a wooden floor; antique furniture creates a room full of character.

The commercial kitchen is ideal for catering for larger groups and has all the necessary equipment (commercial dishwasher, salamander, large oven, warming oven, microwave etc). There are two fridges and
a freezer.

Upstairs:
The six bedrooms sleep 12/14 guests.
Each bedroom is decorated in classical style restful colours. Sleep comes easily
in extremely comfortable beds (Memory Foam Mattress) with crisp white Egyptian cotton bed linen.
All bedrooms are en-suite with power showers and heated mirrors (two with Jacuzzi bath). There are demist mirrors
in all the ensuite bathrooms. Rooms to
the front of the house have panoramic views of the Galtee Mountains.

The Master Bedroom is a spacious room, with panoramic views over the lawns to
the Galtee Mountains. It has a 6 foot four poster bed and the large bathroom has
a heated towel rail and a Jacuzzi bath tub. There is a flatscreen TV.
The second bedroom has a 6 foot bed and an ensuite Jacuzzi bath tub. This bedroom can also serve as a twin room.
The third and fourth bedrooms have antique French beds and large ensuite showers. (It is possible to add a guest bed, suitable for a child to bedroom 4).
The fifth bedroom has a large shower ensuite. The sixth bedroom has a 6 foot Half Poster Bed and a single bed. This is the Family Room. It has a large shower ensuite and a walk-in Dressing Room. Bedrooms are palely splendid with Ulster carpets and antiques.
Eco friendly Solar panels heat the hot
water, backed up by a wood pellet heating system. There is underfloor heating throughout the house. Garden furniture
is provided and a barbecue is available
on request. A drying room is available for walkers/anglers.
The owner, a Ballymaloe trained chef, is available (by request) to cater. Ideal venue for family gatherings, for walkers and for friends getting together. Additional self catering accommodation is available in Coopers Cottage (at the end of the drive). Coopers Cottage sleeps 6.
Amenities in the area
The village of Bansha (3 km) has two
pubs (one serving food), a butcher, a garage and a number of small grocery shops. The nearest town is Tipperary
which has several supermarkets, restaurants (Mary Hanna’s restaurant on the Main Street is a good place for lunch) and a Farmer’s Market on Saturdays). There is live Irish music in the Kickham House every Tuesday night. Here locals gather for a pint and to play traditional Irish music. For further details www.tipp.ie The towns of Cahir (with its medieval castle) and the Rock of Cashel are a short drive.
There are many golf clubs within a 30 mile radius and fishing from the banks of the River Suir, only 3 km from the house. There is a wide range of attractions including walking and trekking in the
Glen of Aherlow the Galtee Mountains.
There are umerous heritage sites in the area; horse racing at Tipperary, Thurles and Clonmel and greyhound racing in Clonmel (Tuesday and Sunday) and in Thurles (Tuesday and Saturday).
