“How can we begin to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay in Glengarriff. A house full of love and the most wonderful place to have spent my birthday. Only people who really care about people could have created such a wonderful place".
Thatched woodland cottage to rent in westcork. Nestling among the ancient oaks of Glengarriff Woods in Ireland’s south west, this charming thatched lodge was originally created as a hunting lodge for the Earls of Bantry. It stands on its own 2-acre island of lawns and gardens, encircled by the Glengarriff River. Three bridges connect to the surrounding 40 acre woodland estate, giving access to many walks and trails. Carefully restored to a high standard, this captivating residence has everything one might reasonably expect in a luxurious country house. Unrivaled tranquility of setting, period furniture, log fires and the easy elegance of this home create an atmosphere which is warm and welcoming throughout all seasons. Almost all rooms offer spectacular river, woodland or mountain views. Catering can be arranged on request Distances
