West Clare cottage to rent.
Guests will be enthralled by the simple old-world charm of this fine late Victorian listed building, standing on two acres of land. It is located one mile from the County Clare village of Corofin, gateway to Ireland’s extraordinary Burren region – Europe’s finest example of a karst landscape. A century ago this was a pub, serving the passengers of the West Clare Railway, immortalized in Percy French’s song “Are Ye Right There Michael”. It has now been meticulously restored, retaining many original features and blending Victorian authenticity with 21st century comfort. The storey and a half design of the house gives a charming look and feel to all upstairs rooms. The master bedroom is most unusual with two steps leading down to it and roof valleys in each of the four corners. Oil fired central heating throughout.
