Ground Floor: Fully fitted kitchen with classic Aga cooker. Dining room with seating for eight. Large, comfortable drawing room with adjoining snug which features a period open-fire range. Large snooker room with full-size table, open fire, Plasma TV and comfortable seating. Purpose built washroom and drying room. Guest cloakroom. Three ensuite twin bedrooms.
Upstairs: Four bedrooms each with ensuite limestone bathroom (with bath and shower). Three rooms have twin beds (two single beds in each room) and one room has a large double bed.
Although the house has six bedrooms, it is best suited to eight adults (plus children) as place settings and seating arrangements in the dining room are best suited to eight.
Amenities in the area
There is much to see and do in County Mayo. You can explore the Ceide Fields, Europe's largest Stone Age land enclosure, where fields farmed 5000 years ago are buried below blanket bogs. Visit Moyne Abbey, the shrine at Knock or drive to Achill Island and enjoy some of the best beaches in Ireland. The area is popular for walking, hill climbing and cycling, and it offers some of the best game fishing and sea angling in Europe. For the golfer there are many challenging courses including Belmullet, Westport and Connemara.
