This exquisite Gothic Revival house is situated in a magical 6,000 acre estate of waterfalls, lakes, lush forest and green meadows, all tucked away in its own private valley in the Wicklow Mountains, but less than an hour’s drive from Dublin and Dublin Airport. The house was given as a wedding gift by Ernest Guinness of the famous brewing family to his daughter, Oonagh, one of the "Golden Guinness girls”, in 1937. It famously became the gathering place for Dublin’s intelligentsia as well as artists and musicians, poets and royalty from around the world. It has also featured in films such as “Zardoz” and “Excalibur”. Superbly restored and decorated, the seclusion and security of this property make it very attractive for those seeking to get away from the madding crowd. It is available to rent year round. Prices vary depending on the services required and the time of year. The weekly rental rate is in the region of €28,000 for up to 11 guests.
