Patio doors open to lawned gardens, flower beds and the lake. In addition there is a utility room with freezer, washing and drying machines. There is an open fire in the lounge with a cut-stone fireplace, and oil-fired central heating serves the whole house. In a detached shed there are two bicycles for guest use, and an outboard motor for a rowing boat, which is located at a private jetty at the bottom of the garden(life jackets provided). Hikers will enjoy the numerous walks – the Kerry Way, Black Valley and Killarney National Park. Mountain and rock climbing, fishing – free in the lake and the sea; permits required for rivers. Golfers will be spoiled for choice – Dooks Links and Killorglin parkland are within 10 minutes drive and Killarney, Ballybunion and Waterville Championship courses are accessible also.
