From the outside the house looks like a traditional home. Inside design and furnishings are sleek and modern; slate floors, marble countertops, good natural lighting combined with contemporary light fittings and well equipped modern kitchen provide a space that is relaxing, easy and comfortable.
There are wonderful views of Dunmanus Bay and the green pastures of the local farm. The house has TV, CD, DVD and a good old fashioned open fire for cool winter nights or just to add atmosphere.
Enjoy the peace and tranquillity, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. While this is a self-catering house a cook can be provided at additional cost and with adequate notice.
Ground floor: The hi-tech kitchen is a chef's dream; just a step away from the dining room, which seats 14 and has a spectacular view of Dunmanus Bay. The dining area opens to a large terrace, with a build-in stone barbeque. There is a library/study which can serve as an extra bedroom with pull-out bed and a livingroom. Locally hand-crafted units with sleek granite worktops have build-in gas and electric hob and two dishwashers. The kitchen has freestanding stainless steel double oven and fridge freezer. Additional fridge freezer, two washing machines and dryers in the pantry.

Apartment: There is an apartment (separate from main house) with one double (sofa bed) and a bathroom. The décor is similar to the main house and comprises a large living area with a pull-out bed and ensuite bathroom. The apartment has a small area with electric hob, microwave, and fridge.
The total area of the house, which includes the separate self-contained apartment, is 320 sqm.

Nearby the owners have a 700 acre farm overlooking Dunmanus Bay. They keep Pedigree Beef Cattle, mainly Aberdeen Angus and a small donkey herd.
In addition there is a stud farm with 30 x 60 m outdoor space and a 23 x 60 m fully glazed indoor riding arena, with a view of the ocean.
Riding possibilities (with fees) are available for experienced riders.
There are walking trails on the 55 mile Sheep’s Head Way, chosen as the best walk in Ireland by Country Walking magazine. A huge variety of terrain with beautiful views; many long and short loop walks ae available. The area is rich in prehistoric sites. Seal colony and sea fishing at Carbery Island. Sandy and shingle beaches nearby. Ilnacullin Gardens are a 'must see' for gardeners. Listen to Irish music and have a pint in one of the local pubs! Or, just enjoy the peace and tranquility in this stunning location!
