Description

Description:

This is a lovely Georgian house; situated two minutes drive from the village of Dunderry.  The house has been in the same family for generations and until quite recently, was a working stud farm; evident from the old stables and paddock.   This well proportioned period house is approximately 3,500 sq.ft. and is bright and spacious, yet compact and manageable, as befits a self-catering stylish house. A lovely collection of delph, silver and glassware, antique furniture and original features complete the picture. The fireplaces are truly remarkable with ample firewood available.  The house is surrounded by wonderful gardens with mature shrubs, trees and hidden corners. Recently the owners renovated the house to a very high standard while maintaining its character and charm. The walls are thick; there are beautiful sash windows, which are double glazed providing a cosy environment even on the coldest days. Immerse yourself in Ireland’s ancient history, using this beautiful period house as your base.  Although the property is situated in a quiet rural area with  stunning gardens and hedgerows, it is a mere 50 minutes from Dublin airport and only two hours from Belfast Airport.
